ACP was just awarded a Technical Assistance contract by the World Bank Group (WBG) to conduct research Technology for Teaching (T4T) landscape review of teacher professional development programs in Haiti which are focused on teaching educators how to use technology in the classroom. ACP has partnered with Quisqueya University (UniQ) who will be conducting field research to collect current information. (Nov 2021)

Text-to-Speech (TTS) Program update: We just signed an agreement with Muska Group Video Production Company in Port-au-Prince to record 1200+ utterances (phrases/sentences) created from the word corpus. We held a series of auditions and have selected both a male and female voice actor/actress to do the recordings. The utterances will be digitally processed to create the new synthetic TTS voices. (Sep 2021)

ACP is pleased to announce the start of a new initiative in to develop open source Text-to-Speech (TTS) capabilities for under resourced languages. We are working in partnership with the Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) Language Technology Institute (LTI). Our first target language is Haitian Creole of course, but we are building the infrastructure to expand the capabilities to other countries. We have begun the task of compiling the corpus of words which the new TTS voices will support. (May 2021) 

The complete series of EDUQUAT Mathematics applications are being released without any license restrictions in response to the COVID-19 pandemic by the EDUQUAT Organization. They are available on both Google Play and in Apple iTunes.  Since the release over 1500 copies of the apps have been downloaded in Haiti as well as many other Francophone countries around the globe. ACP is excited to announce we are developing the Grade 1 French Language Arts application for the EDUQUAT Organization. The initial version is already released. We anticipate an early summer completion of the 95 lessons!! (February 2020)

ACP was selected to develop digital pedagogical interactive lessons for the “Education de Qualité pour Tous” (EDUQUAT) initiative in Haiti. The initiative is developing an educational business model that will use multimedia mobile classrooms with digital pedagogical interactive tools, tested through a network of schools (public and private), in the Haiti. It is being financially supported by the Multilateral Investment Fund (MIF), a member of the Inter-American Development Bank Group (IDB). This is an outcome of ACP's Open Education Resource (OER) Development Program. (May 2017)
