Open Educational Resources (OER) Development
A Connected Planet Foundation maintains a growing library of free mobile applications available on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store — bringing quality educational content to learners who need it most, in the languages they speak at home.
Free Apps. Real Impact.
All of our apps are free to download and use — no subscriptions, no paywalls. They are designed to work on low-cost Android devices and are optimized for low-connectivity environments, making them accessible in the communities that need them most.
Our app library spans three distinct collections, each developed in partnership with local educators, community organizations, and international development partners.

Our App Collections
Three distinct collections, each serving a specific community and learning need.
Haitian Creole speakers
Literacy & Numeracy Apps
A suite of foundational literacy and numeracy apps designed specifically for Haitian Creole speakers. These apps help early learners build reading and math skills in their native language, removing the barrier of having to learn in a second language before they can access educational content.
Matènwa Community Learning Center
Mother Tongue Audiobook Apps
Digital audiobook apps adapted from physical storybooks created through the Mother Tongue Books initiative at the Matènwa Community Learning Center on La Gonâve Island, Haiti. Each app offers the story in Haitian Creole, French, and English — supporting multilingual literacy and preserving local storytelling traditions.
Mathematics & French-language arts
EDUQUAT Series
The EDUQUAT series of Mathematics and French-language arts apps was originally developed in collaboration with the Inter-American Development Bank and Les Frères de l'Instruction Chrétienne in Port-au-Prince. These curriculum-aligned apps bring structured, engaging instruction to students who may have limited access to qualified teachers or printed materials.
